People have urges, and for lunch I had the urge for something hot. For that reason I went to Whole Food Market where they offer about 20 different soups, divided into three categories: vegetable soups, fish soups, and meat soups. Since I had already had lots of protein, earlier in the morning, I decided to have one of the vegetable soups...but what's a soup without something to dip in it? Bread always seems to be a good additive, so I peeked into the bakery section of the store to see what type I would use for my soup.
Split Pea Soup: Vegetable stock, green split peas, carrots, celery, and onions.
Pumpernickel Bagel: Wheat flour baked with rye meal.
Oatrageous Cookie: Oatmeal, raisins, and chocolate chunks baked into a cookie.
That hit the spot!
