Hot or cold? That is the question. Lately I've been having lots of smoothies and energy drinks, all of which are designed to be served cold. So even though it's probably 100 degrees outside I'm still going to have something hot. And what better way to heat up my mouth with none other than soup!
That's was my mentality BEFORE I finished driving to Whole Food Market. I was at the final light that would let me finish the long drive to the market when a police car stopped traffic on all four sides. Turns out there was a funeral and they were being escorted by a fleet of police cars. It took ten minutes, a time span I could easily endure...if it were not for the excruciating heat. By the time I got out of the car I was dripping in sweat. People were wondering if I fell in a lake.
Shrimp & Roasted Corn Chowder: Potato, light cream, onions, corn, shrimp, and red bell peppers.
Wheat Bagel: A bagel made from wheat.
Guava Cheese Empanada: A pastry filled with guava jelly and cheese.
I might have felt like drinking a tub of water, but a tub of soup is liquid as well.
